Support Bracket – GM (85532071)

Factory part number 85532071: a support bracket supplied by GM. It is catalogued under Brackets & Supports > Brackets.

• Brackets that carry load in shear rather than tension are sensitive to bolt grade, and substituting a lower grade is a common cause of elongation at the holes.
• Where a bracket also earths a component, the mounting surface needs to be clean metal or the circuit will be intermittent.
• Brackets are frequently revised during a model run, so a superseded number may look different from the part being removed and still be correct.

Where a diagram shows several similar items on one assembly, the difference between them is normally length, shoulder or handedness.

Confirm the number before you order, because a near match will bolt on and still be wrong. Send the VIN if the old marking has gone. Dispatched from our US warehouse within one to two business days, with free shipping over $59.
