Side Panel – GM (87813674)

Factory part number 87813674: a side panel supplied by GM. It is catalogued under Covers & Caps > Panels & Plates.

• Superseded numbers are common, and where a factory number has been replaced the current part is usually dimensionally identical to the original.
• Corrosion at a mounting face is worth cleaning back before fitting anything new, because a part that sits on scale will work loose.
• Torque figures belong to the fastener and the joint rather than to the part, so the factory procedure is the reference rather than a general rule.

Genuine parts are made to the drawing the vehicle was built from, so dimensions and materials match the part being removed rather than being close to it.

The part number is the thing to verify. Where the old part carries no legible number, a VIN and a photograph are enough for us to identify it. Handed to the carrier within one to two business days from our US warehouse, free over $59.
