Ordering a seal for FORD comes down to the part number rather than the description.
Factory part number 5L8Z-4B416-AA: a seal supplied by FORD. It is catalogued under Seals & Gaskets > Seals.
Lip seals need a film of the correct fluid on assembly, since a dry lip will burn on the first revolution and never recover. Where the vehicle is close to a model-year change, the VIN is a more reliable guide than the registration date.
Confirm the number before you order, because a near match will bolt on and still be wrong. Send the VIN if the old marking has gone.
