Plug – Mopar (68490729aa)

The plug here is the MOPAR part, numbered 68490729aa. It is catalogued under Covers & Caps > Caps & Plugs.

• Where a cover sits against a painted panel, a slight shade difference is normal on service parts supplied primed rather than finished.
• Plastic covers harden with heat cycles, so a cover that has been on the vehicle for a decade often cracks at the screw bosses when refitted.
• The number stamped on the old part is the only reliable identifier, since two parts can look identical and differ by a millimetre or by rotation direction.

Fitment lists are a guide rather than a guarantee, because the same model year can carry different parts depending on the production break and the option code.

The part number is the thing to verify. Where the old part carries no legible number, a VIN and a photograph are enough for us to identify it. Ships from our US warehouse in one to two business days, free over $59.
