Hose – GM (19384640)

GM lists this hose under number 19384640. It is catalogued under Hoses & Lines > Hoses.

• Lines and pipes are pre-formed to follow the body, and a pipe from a different wheelbase or body style will not route correctly even where the fittings match.
• Crimped hose assemblies cannot be repaired at home: the collar is machine-formed, and a clamp over a failed crimp will not hold system pressure.
• Coolant and refrigerant hoses see different pressures and different fluids, so the material is not interchangeable between the two systems.

Quick-connect fittings on later vehicles need the retaining clip released rather than the line twisted, and the clip is easily lost in the process. Superseded numbers are common, and where a factory number has been replaced the current part is usually dimensionally identical to the original.
