Front Cable – Ford (LU9Z-2853-C)

FORD lists this front cable under number LU9Z-2853-C. It is catalogued under Cables & Linkage > Cables.

• Linkage rods with threaded ends are adjusted for length, so thread engagement at each end matters as much as the overall dimension.
• Genuine parts are made to the drawing the vehicle was built from, so dimensions and materials match the part being removed rather than being close to it.
• The number stamped on the old part is the only reliable identifier, since two parts can look identical and differ by a millimetre or by rotation direction.

Release and shift cables are directional. Fitted the wrong way round they usually still operate, but bind or fail early.

Match this against the part you are taking off rather than against a photo. If the number is unreadable, send us the VIN and we will confirm it. Handed to the carrier within one to two business days from our US warehouse, free over $59.
