F Shield – GM (97564237)

GM lists this f shield under number 97564237. It is catalogued under Covers & Caps > Shields & Guards.

• Plastic covers harden with heat cycles, so a cover that has been on the vehicle for a decade often cracks at the screw bosses when refitted.
• Genuine parts are made to the drawing the vehicle was built from, so dimensions and materials match the part being removed rather than being close to it.
• The number stamped on the old part is the only reliable identifier, since two parts can look identical and differ by a millimetre or by rotation direction.

A part that fails early usually points at an installation fault or a worn component nearby rather than at the part itself. A cap that vents and a cap that does not are visually similar, and swapping them gives a fault code or a pressure leak rather than a fit problem.

Confirm the number before you order, because a near match will bolt on and still be wrong. Send the VIN if the old marking has gone. Dispatched from our US warehouse within one to two business days, with free shipping over $59.
