F Pipe – GM (98149035)

This is a f pipe from GM, factory part number 98149035. It is catalogued under Hoses & Lines > Tubes & Pipes.

• When a hose is replaced because of a leak, the mating fitting usually needs cleaning back to bare metal before the new assembly goes on.
• Quick-connect fittings on later vehicles need the retaining clip released rather than the line twisted, and the clip is easily lost in the process.
• Genuine parts are made to the drawing the vehicle was built from, so dimensions and materials match the part being removed rather than being close to it.

Coolant and refrigerant hoses see different pressures and different fluids, so the material is not interchangeable between the two systems. Superseded numbers are common, and where a factory number has been replaced the current part is usually dimensionally identical to the original.

The part number is the thing to verify. Where the old part carries no legible number, a VIN and a photograph are enough for us to identify it. Leaves our US warehouse in one to two business days, and shipping is free over $59.
