F Pipe – GM (42354577)

This is a f pipe from GM, factory part number 42354577. It is catalogued under Hoses & Lines > Tubes & Pipes.

• Corrosion at a mounting face is worth cleaning back before fitting anything new, because a part that sits on scale will work loose.
• Torque figures belong to the fastener and the joint rather than to the part, so the factory procedure is the reference rather than a general rule.
• A part that fails early usually points at an installation fault or a worn component nearby rather than at the part itself.

Keeping the old part until the new one is fitted and checked is the simplest way to avoid a second order. Where the vehicle is close to a model-year change, the VIN is a more reliable guide than the registration date.

Match this against the part you are taking off rather than against a photo. If the number is unreadable, send us the VIN and we will confirm it. Leaves our US warehouse in one to two business days, and shipping is free over $59.
