F Panel – GM (97405304)

This is a f panel from GM, factory part number 97405304. It is catalogued under Covers & Caps > Panels & Plates.

• Corrosion at a mounting face is worth cleaning back before fitting anything new, because a part that sits on scale will work loose.
• Torque figures belong to the fastener and the joint rather than to the part, so the factory procedure is the reference rather than a general rule.
• A part that fails early usually points at an installation fault or a worn component nearby rather than at the part itself.

Inspection covers are usually the first thing removed and the last thing reordered, which is why a missing cover often shows up as a rattle rather than a leak. Where the vehicle is close to a model-year change, the VIN is a more reliable guide than the registration date.

Match this against the part you are taking off rather than against a photo. If the number is unreadable, send us the VIN and we will confirm it. Handed to the carrier within one to two business days from our US warehouse, free over $59.
