F Panel – GM (85555109)

GM lists this f panel under number 85555109. It is catalogued under Covers & Caps > Panels & Plates.

• A cover or cap is matched on the part number, the finish, and whether the listing is the cover alone or a cover with its gasket and retainers.
• Colour-matched and textured covers are rarely interchangeable with a plain black service part, even where the moulding is identical.
• Covers that seal a fluid opening normally carry a single-use gasket or O-ring, and reusing the old one is the usual reason a leak comes back.

Where the vehicle is close to a model-year change, the VIN is a more reliable guide than the registration date. Genuine parts are made to the drawing the vehicle was built from, so dimensions and materials match the part being removed rather than being close to it.

The part number is the thing to verify. Where the old part carries no legible number, a VIN and a photograph are enough for us to identify it. Handed to the carrier within one to two business days from our US warehouse, free over $59.
