F Panel – GM (22980581)

Factory part number 22980581: a f panel supplied by GM. It is catalogued under Covers & Caps > Panels & Plates.

• Where a diagram shows several similar items on one assembly, the difference between them is normally length, shoulder or handedness.
• Keeping the old part until the new one is fitted and checked is the simplest way to avoid a second order.
• The photographs on a listing show the actual stock item, so compare the mounting points and the connector or fitting rather than the overall shape.

A cap that vents and a cap that does not are visually similar, and swapping them gives a fault code or a pressure leak rather than a fit problem. Corrosion at a mounting face is worth cleaning back before fitting anything new, because a part that sits on scale will work loose.

The part number is the thing to verify. Where the old part carries no legible number, a VIN and a photograph are enough for us to identify it. Leaves our US warehouse in one to two business days, and shipping is free over $59.
