F Extension – GM (84943708)

This is a f extension from GM, factory part number 84943708. It is catalogued under Covers & Caps > Panels & Plates.

• Where a cover sits against a painted panel, a slight shade difference is normal on service parts supplied primed rather than finished.
• Plastic covers harden with heat cycles, so a cover that has been on the vehicle for a decade often cracks at the screw bosses when refitted.
• Genuine parts are made to the drawing the vehicle was built from, so dimensions and materials match the part being removed rather than being close to it.

Inspection covers are usually the first thing removed and the last thing reordered, which is why a missing cover often shows up as a rattle rather than a leak. The photographs on a listing show the actual stock item, so compare the mounting points and the connector or fitting rather than the overall shape.

The part number is the thing to verify. Where the old part carries no legible number, a VIN and a photograph are enough for us to identify it. Leaves our US warehouse in one to two business days, and shipping is free over $59.
