F Cable – GM (87814908)

Factory part number 87814908: a f cable supplied by GM. It is catalogued under Cables & Linkage > Cables.

• Cables routed near exhaust or moving suspension parts need their original clips, because a cable left to hang will chafe through its conduit within a season.
• A cable that already feels stiff before fitting usually has a kinked conduit from storage, and forcing it will make the bind worse once installed.
• Where a cable operates a latch, the latch itself is often the real fault, so check that it moves freely before blaming the cable.

Superseded numbers are common, and where a factory number has been replaced the current part is usually dimensionally identical to the original. Fitment lists are a guide rather than a guarantee, because the same model year can carry different parts depending on the production break and the option code.

Check the number on the part you are removing before ordering. If it is worn off, send the VIN and a photo and we will match it. Leaves our US warehouse in one to two business days, and shipping is free over $59.
