F Cable – GM (85123673)

This is a f cable from GM, factory part number 85123673. It is catalogued under Cables & Linkage > Cables.

• A cable that already feels stiff before fitting usually has a kinked conduit from storage, and forcing it will make the bind worse once installed.
• Where a cable operates a latch, the latch itself is often the real fault, so check that it moves freely before blaming the cable.
• Linkage rods with threaded ends are adjusted for length, so thread engagement at each end matters as much as the overall dimension.

Corrosion at a mounting face is worth cleaning back before fitting anything new, because a part that sits on scale will work loose. Adjustable rods and links are set to a reference length at the factory, and matching that length before fitting saves a lot of trial and error.

Worth checking against the original before fitting. If you cannot read the number, we can match it from the VIN. Leaves our US warehouse in one to two business days, and shipping is free over $59.
