F Cable – GM (42919655)

This is a f cable from GM, factory part number 42919655. It is catalogued under Cables & Linkage > Cables.

• Where a cable operates a latch, the latch itself is often the real fault, so check that it moves freely before blaming the cable.
• Linkage rods with threaded ends are adjusted for length, so thread engagement at each end matters as much as the overall dimension.
• Genuine parts are made to the drawing the vehicle was built from, so dimensions and materials match the part being removed rather than being close to it.

A cable that already feels stiff before fitting usually has a kinked conduit from storage, and forcing it will make the bind worse once installed. Corrosion at a mounting face is worth cleaning back before fitting anything new, because a part that sits on scale will work loose.

Confirm the number before you order, because a near match will bolt on and still be wrong. Send the VIN if the old marking has gone. Dispatched from our US warehouse within one to two business days, with free shipping over $59.
