F Bracket – GM (87850540)

GM lists this f bracket under number 87850540. It is catalogued under Brackets & Supports > Brackets.

• Superseded numbers are common, and where a factory number has been replaced the current part is usually dimensionally identical to the original.
• Corrosion at a mounting face is worth cleaning back before fitting anything new, because a part that sits on scale will work loose.
• Torque figures belong to the fastener and the joint rather than to the part, so the factory procedure is the reference rather than a general rule.

Electrical and fuel-system parts are normally excluded from return once fitted, since they cannot be resold as new after use. Brackets are frequently revised during a model run, so a superseded number may look different from the part being removed and still be correct.

Check the number on the part you are removing before ordering. If it is worn off, send the VIN and a photo and we will match it. Ships from our US warehouse in one to two business days, free over $59.
