F Bracket – GM (86572086)

This is a f bracket from GM, factory part number 86572086. It is catalogued under Brackets & Supports > Brackets.

• Corrosion at a mounting face is worth cleaning back before fitting anything new, because a part that sits on scale will work loose.
• Torque figures belong to the fastener and the joint rather than to the part, so the factory procedure is the reference rather than a general rule.
• A part that fails early usually points at an installation fault or a worn component nearby rather than at the part itself.

The number stamped on the old part is the only reliable identifier, since two parts can look identical and differ by a millimetre or by rotation direction. Check whether the listing includes the mounting bolts and the rubber insulator. On older vehicles those are sold separately and are usually the parts that failed.

Match this against the part you are taking off rather than against a photo. If the number is unreadable, send us the VIN and we will confirm it. Leaves our US warehouse in one to two business days, and shipping is free over $59.
