Cover – GM (22904521)

This is a cover from GM, factory part number 22904521. It is catalogued under Covers & Caps > Covers.

• Inspection covers are usually the first thing removed and the last thing reordered, which is why a missing cover often shows up as a rattle rather than a leak.
• Where a cover sits against a painted panel, a slight shade difference is normal on service parts supplied primed rather than finished.
• Plastic covers harden with heat cycles, so a cover that has been on the vehicle for a decade often cracks at the screw bosses when refitted.

Keeping the old part until the new one is fitted and checked is the simplest way to avoid a second order. Where a diagram shows several similar items on one assembly, the difference between them is normally length, shoulder or handedness.

Confirm the number before you order, because a near match will bolt on and still be wrong. Send the VIN if the old marking has gone. In stock and sent from the US in one to two business days, free delivery over $59.
