Closeout Panel – Mopar (68196979AA)

Ordering a closeout panel for MOPAR comes down to the part number rather than the description.

This is a closeout panel from MOPAR, factory part number 68196979AA. It is catalogued under Covers & Caps > Panels & Plates.

The number stamped on the old part is the only reliable identifier, since two parts can look identical and differ by a millimetre or by rotation direction. A cap that vents and a cap that does not are visually similar, and swapping them gives a fault code or a pressure leak rather than a fit problem.

Match this against the part you are taking off rather than against a photo. If the number is unreadable, send us the VIN and we will confirm it.
