Clamp – Ford (8C4Z-5A231-CB)

The clamp here is the FORD part, numbered 8C4Z-5A231-CB. It is catalogued under Hoses & Lines > Clamps & Fittings.

• Torque figures belong to the fastener and the joint rather than to the part, so the factory procedure is the reference rather than a general rule.
• A part that fails early usually points at an installation fault or a worn component nearby rather than at the part itself.
• Where a diagram shows several similar items on one assembly, the difference between them is normally length, shoulder or handedness.

Rubber hardens with heat cycles. Replacing one hose on an old assembly without inspecting its neighbours usually means a second repair shortly after. Genuine parts are made to the drawing the vehicle was built from, so dimensions and materials match the part being removed rather than being close to it.

Match this against the part you are taking off rather than against a photo. If the number is unreadable, send us the VIN and we will confirm it. Handed to the carrier within one to two business days from our US warehouse, free over $59.
