Cable – GM (42794577)

GM lists this cable under number 42794577. It is catalogued under Cables & Linkage > Cables.

• Release and shift cables are directional. Fitted the wrong way round they usually still operate, but bind or fail early.
• Cables routed near exhaust or moving suspension parts need their original clips, because a cable left to hang will chafe through its conduit within a season.
• A cable that already feels stiff before fitting usually has a kinked conduit from storage, and forcing it will make the bind worse once installed.

Electrical and fuel-system parts are normally excluded from return once fitted, since they cannot be resold as new after use.

Confirm the number before you order, because a near match will bolt on and still be wrong. Send the VIN if the old marking has gone. Ships from our US warehouse in one to two business days, free over $59.
