Cable – GM (19136282)

This is a cable from GM, factory part number 19136282. It is catalogued under Cables & Linkage > Cables.

• A cable even a few millimetres short will not reach its bracket regardless of routing, so overall length is worth confirming before ordering.
• Release and shift cables are directional. Fitted the wrong way round they usually still operate, but bind or fail early.
• Cables routed near exhaust or moving suspension parts need their original clips, because a cable left to hang will chafe through its conduit within a season.

Keeping the old part until the new one is fitted and checked is the simplest way to avoid a second order. Adjustable rods and links are set to a reference length at the factory, and matching that length before fitting saves a lot of trial and error.

Match this against the part you are taking off rather than against a photo. If the number is unreadable, send us the VIN and we will confirm it. Leaves our US warehouse in one to two business days, and shipping is free over $59.
