Cable – GM (18032943)

Factory part number 18032943: a cable supplied by GM. It is catalogued under Cables & Linkage > Cables.

• Superseded numbers are common, and where a factory number has been replaced the current part is usually dimensionally identical to the original.
• Corrosion at a mounting face is worth cleaning back before fitting anything new, because a part that sits on scale will work loose.
• Torque figures belong to the fastener and the joint rather than to the part, so the factory procedure is the reference rather than a general rule.

Genuine parts are made to the drawing the vehicle was built from, so dimensions and materials match the part being removed rather than being close to it. Cables routed near exhaust or moving suspension parts need their original clips, because a cable left to hang will chafe through its conduit within a season.

Confirm the number before you order, because a near match will bolt on and still be wrong. Send the VIN if the old marking has gone. In stock and sent from the US in one to two business days, free delivery over $59.
