Cable Assembly – Ford (wc97435)

The cable assembly here is the FORD part, numbered wc97435. It is catalogued under Cables & Linkage > Cables.

• Ford Cable Assembly (wc97435)
• Adjustable rods and links are set to a reference length at the factory, and matching that length before fitting saves a lot of trial and error.
• Release and shift cables are directional. Fitted the wrong way round they usually still operate, but bind or fail early.

Where a cable operates a latch, the latch itself is often the real fault, so check that it moves freely before blaming the cable.

The part number is the thing to verify. Where the old part carries no legible number, a VIN and a photograph are enough for us to identify it. Handed to the carrier within one to two business days from our US warehouse, free over $59.
