Matching hardware to your vehicle
How do I identify the right auto hardware part for my vehicle?
Work from the part number first, not the vehicle description. Every listing on this site carries the factory part number that appears on the part you are replacing, plus the brand it belongs to. If the number is still legible on the old bolt, clip or bracket, search it directly. If it is not, use your VIN to narrow the year, model, engine and trim, then compare the exploded diagram for the assembly you are working on.
Are these genuine GM, Ford and Mopar parts or aftermarket equivalents?
Each listing states the brand it ships as. Parts shown as GM, Ford, Mopar or ACDelco are factory parts supplied through those brands. Where an aftermarket equivalent is also listed, it appears as a separate product with its own number and the factory numbers it replaces. The brand is always in the product title, so you can tell the two apart before adding to cart.
How do I confirm a fastener will fit before ordering?
Four dimensions decide whether a fastener works: thread diameter and pitch, overall length, head style, and coating or finish. A bolt that looks identical in a photo can differ by one millimetre of length or by thread pitch, and a mismatched pitch will gall the hole. The specifications block on each product page lists the values we hold for that part. If a dimension you need is missing, send us the part number and we will measure it.
The part number on my old hardware is worn off. Can you still match it?
Usually yes. Send us the VIN, the name of the assembly you are working on, and a photo of the old part next to a ruler or a coin for scale. Body clips, retainers and trim fasteners are frequently identified by shape and by the panel they seat into, so a clear photo is often enough even without a number.
Shipping and delivery
How long does delivery take?
Orders are picked and handed to the carrier within 1–2 business days. Ground delivery then takes 3-7 business days in the contiguous United States. A tracking number is emailed as soon as the parcel leaves the warehouse, and tracking updates begin once the carrier scans it at their first facility.
When is shipping free?
Shipping is free on orders over $59. Orders below that amount are charged the carrier rate shown at checkout. Hardware orders are small and light, so combining several fasteners or clips into one order is usually the cheapest way to reach the free-shipping threshold.
Do you ship to Canada, Alaska, Hawaii or overseas?
Checkout is configured for United States addresses. For Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or international destinations, contact us before ordering and we will quote the actual carrier cost and confirm the service reaches your address. We do not under-declare customs values, so any duty or tax charged on import is the buyer's responsibility.
Orders, returns and warranty
Can I change or cancel an order after placing it?
Contact us as soon as the order is placed. Address changes and cancellations are normally possible while the order is still in the picking queue. Once a parcel has been handed to the carrier it cannot be recalled, and the return process applies instead. Hardware orders often ship the same day, so do not wait until the next morning.
What if a part arrives damaged or does not fit?
Email us within 48 hours of delivery with the order number and photos of the part, the label and the packaging. Damage in transit and wrong-item shipments are resolved at our cost, including return freight. If a part does not fit, send the VIN and the part number you removed so we can confirm whether the correct number exists before a return is arranged.
Do you accept returns on electrical components and sensors?
Electrical parts, sensors, modules and connectors can only be returned unused and in their sealed original packaging, because once plugged in they cannot be resold as new. This restriction is stated on the relevant product pages. Mechanical hardware such as bolts, clips, brackets and hoses follows the standard 30-day return window from delivery.
Do you supply body shops, restoration projects and resellers in bulk?
Yes. Send a list of part numbers with the quantities you need and we will quote against current stock. Mixed hardware orders are welcome, and where a clip or retainer is only sold in packs we will tell you the pack quantity so the quote reflects what you actually receive.
How do I get an invoice or a receipt for a business purchase?
An order confirmation is emailed automatically when the order is placed and the receipt is attached to the shipment confirmation. If you need the invoice issued to a company name, a purchase-order reference or a tax ID, email the order number and the details to be shown and we will reissue it.
Is there a warranty on hardware parts?
Parts carry the manufacturer warranty where the manufacturer provides one, and we pass that coverage through and help you file a claim. We do not add a separate store warranty on top of it. Consumable items — clips, retainers, single-use bolts and sealing washers — are normally excluded once installed, since their service life depends on how they are fitted.
Why does the same part number appear at two different prices?
Because they are two different products. A factory-branded part and an aftermarket equivalent that replaces the same number are separate listings and never share a price. Where two listings look identical, the difference is normally the brand, the finish or the pack quantity. Check the brand in the title and the replaces-list on each page before comparing.
Full delivery and return conditions are on our Returns & Shipping page.
